Some writers begin with a story.
Jennifer Beilis began with a mission.
A dedicated educator with an MA in Education and Deafness from NYU, Jennifer has spent her life teaching American Sign Language and advocating for people with disabilities — advocacy rooted not in theory, but in personal experience. Hard of hearing and navigating multiple disabilities herself, she understands firsthand the challenges, resilience, and quiet courage that shape so many lives behind the scenes.
Her books, Hear I Am and Making Positive Changes, bring together her background in psychology, education, mental health, and disability advocacy. But more importantly, they offer readers a space to reflect, heal, and grow. Through guided journal exercises and compassionate prompts, Jennifer encourages readers to explore their inner landscape, their fears, strengths, setbacks, and breakthroughs, and to discover what positive change can look like for them.

What inspired her work is simple and powerful:
she wanted her own journey to help others move forward in theirs.
Jennifer writes with the honesty of someone who has lived it, the clarity of an educator, and the unwavering belief that every person deserves tools, understanding, and a voice.
Her hope is that readers not only learn from her books, but grow with them, and, if the words resonate, share a kind review to help others find the guidance they may quietly be searching for.
Her books are available on Amazon in e-book, soft and hard cover formats
