Some writing journeys don’t begin with a dream of publication, they begin with a lifetime of listening, observing, and quietly storing stories away.

Randie K. Berman lives in a quiet, unspoiled corner of New Jersey, where she and her husband were both raised. After graduating from law school, Randie spent many years in private practice before moving into the legal department of a large international corporation. It was a successful, demanding career, but not the one that ultimately claimed her heart.

Writing had always been there. As a child, Randie wrote daily, but adulthood redirected her focus elsewhere. It wasn’t until the loss of her mother in her mid-forties that writing returned with urgency and depth. She began working on a novel inspired by her mother — a way of being alone with her again, of remembering her face, her voice, even the familiar scent of Shalimar. Though that manuscript was tragically lost in a computer crash, the act of writing itself changed everything. What remained was a craving that never left and eventually became a full-time creative obsession.

Today, Randie’s days are filled with family, friends, books, and the steady work of storytelling. She writes women’s fiction rooted in emotional truth, moral complexity, and the difficult choices women are often asked to navigate.

About 207 West End Avenue

Set in early-1980s Manhattan, 207 West End Avenue follows Samantha Ross, a brilliant young lawyer who has just achieved what few women of her era could: becoming the youngest female partner at a prestigious Park Avenue law firm. In a male-dominated legal world where women are outnumbered seven to one, Samantha has learned how to survive and succeed.

Her confidence is tested when she takes on a powerful new client, Michael Taylor, a tech CEO who asks her to pursue a rival company for millions. What begins as a straightforward legal battle slowly pushes Samantha into morally uncertain territory, forcing her to confront a question with no easy answer: how much of herself is she willing to compromise to protect everything she has worked for?

Randie’s writing explores ambition, integrity, and the quiet cost of success, particularly for women navigating systems not designed with them in mind.
